Prof. Dr. Rofina Yasmin Othman is an accomplished scientist, policy leader, and champion of innovation, currently serving as Chairman of MRANTI.

A Chevening Scholar with a PhD in Plant Virology from the John Innes Institute and the University of East Anglia, she has built an exemplary career at the intersection of science, governance, and commercialisation.

A Fellow and council member of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, she has been instrumental in helping to shape Malaysia’s bioeconomy agenda and advancing ethical and safety frameworks for the biotechnology industry.
